There's a developing story this afternoon at a drugstore distribution center in Harford County, Maryland. Around nine this morning, reports say a woman with a handgun shot and killed three people and injured at least two others. It happened at a Rite Aid facility that's located about 30 miles from Baltimore. The suspect is now in custody and reportedly in critical condition. This latest workplace shooting comes three months after a man shot and killed five staffers at an Annapolis, Maryland newspaper. A Harford County official today says shootings are becoming, "a too-often occurrence not only in Harford County but in the country." Read on.
Across Puerto Rico today ceremonies are being held to mark the one-year anniversary of the day Hurricane Maria ripped through that U.S.territory. The brutal storm devastated Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands with recorded wind gusts of 170 miles an hour. It's estimated Maria caused $90 billion in damage. Today, the governor of Puerto Rico, reportedly ramped up his push for Puerto Rico statehood and said he has no doubt that nearly 3,000 deaths happened as a result of Hurricane Maria.
