Today's Update

TRUMP ON KAVANAUGH ACCUSER

In a tweet today, President Trump questioned the credibility of the woman, Christine Blasey Ford, who's accusing U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, of a sexual assault back when they were in high school. Trump says if the alleged event was "as bad as she says" -- she would have reported it to officials years ago. Trump also suggested she should provide a police report from the alleged event. Meanwhile, lawyers for Blasey Ford are now negotiating with the Senate Judiciary Committee about her possible testimony next week -- some pundits say that testimony could derail Kavanaugh's confirmation. And there's much more.

DC JOGGER MURDER

A reported break in the tragic murder case of a bride-to-be. A 23-year-old Washington, DC man has been charged in the stabbing death of Wendy Martinez, who was attacked while out for a run in the Logan Circle neighborhood Tuesday night. Officials now say the suspect, Anthony Crawford, may have been high on the drug K2 at the time of the attack. Authorities reportedly believe the 35-year-old victim did nothing to provoke the attack. Reports say she somehow made her way to a nearby carryout Chinese restaurant -- where she collapsed. Martinez reportedly became engaged just last week and went wedding dress shopping this past weekend. Reports say she'll be buried in the dress she picked out. Read on.

IT'S AN AMAZON WORLD...

... and we just live in it. Amazon unveiled its new product line-up for the 2018 holiday season at an event held yesterday in Seattle. Lots of new stuff... some cool. Some confusing. The rollout includes an all-new Echo Dot, a smart plug that adds voice control to anything plugged in, the Echo Auto (yup, think Alexa riding shotgun -- Siri may be jealous about this one) and an Alexa microwave (not sure about this -- I mean can she even cook?). Lots more unveiled. Check it out here.

THIS IS HOW WE DO IT

As Montell Jordan sang in 1995, "it's Friday night and I feel alright..." But another not-sung-about thing that happens on Fridays is getting those sports uniforms ready for weekend games. Some of ours are already looking pretty dingy, so take a look at these dos and don'ts on washing a sports uniform. Best part, you can use all of that leftover Borax from last year's slime-making craze!
