And the winner is... the Mediterranean diet. That's according to a report released today by U.S. News and World Report. It's the first time the Mediterranean diet -- which focuses on whole grains, lean protein, vegetables and more --  has won the annual award from the magazine. The winner is being credited with being the best diet for healthy eating, for diabetics -- and for being pretty easy to follow.  Other high performers on this year's list include DASH, Flexitarian and WW which is the diet formerly known as Weight Watchers.
